pkmnchase has no ads, no analytics and no tracking. It only stores what it needs to sign you in and to remember the choices you make, so there is nothing to consent to and no cookie banner.

These are all the cookies pkmnchase sets. None of them are shared with anyone else. The settings cookies are only set when you change that setting, and hold nothing but your choice.

Other storage on your device
The card scanner keeps its files and your scan queue in your browser's storage. Nothing is stored until you use the scan page.

You can remove all of it at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser's settings. You will be signed out and your settings go back to their defaults.
Camera and clipboard
On a phone or tablet, the scan page uses your camera only after you tap “Scan with camera” and allow it in your browser. The camera stops when you close it or switch to another app. What it sees and the photos you take are processed on your device and never uploaded. You can take the permission back in your browser's settings.
The scan page's Paste button reads the images on your clipboard, only when you tap it.
When you sign in
You sign in with Google. pkmnchase then stores your name, email address and profile picture from your Google account, and the collection, lists and sightings you add. For each signed-in session it also stores the IP address and browser it was started from, to keep your account safe. Sign-in attempts are counted per IP address to limit abuse.
Other services
- Cloudflare hosts the site and its database.
- Google handles sign-in. Google's own privacy policy applies on its sign-in pages.
- TCGdex provides the card data and images, which your browser loads straight from it. The few images TCGdex lacks are served by pkmnchase itself, from Cloudflare.
- Exchange rates come from the European Central Bank through Frankfurter. They are fetched by our server, so your browser never contacts it.
Fonts are served by pkmnchase itself, not by a font service.
